IndianOil adjudged “Oil & Gas Marketing Company of the Year”
In recognition of IndianOil’s leadership performance in marketing petroleum products and natural gas in India, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas S Jaipal Reddy presented the coveted ‘Oil & Gas Marketing Company of the Year’ award for the year 2010-11 to IndianOil.
Chairman RS Butola and Director (Marketing) M Nene, received the award at the Petrofed Oil & Gas Industry Awards function.
A business ‘Superbrand’ for three consecutive times, IndianOil over the years, has excelled and broadened its business horizons through several technological innovations and clean energy initiatives with a special focus on safety and corporate social responsibility. The Corporation has an enviable 52% of the industry’s infrastructure and has recorded an annual growth of 5% in sales volume during FY 2010-11 and 2011-12 respectively. It has now crossed the 20,000 number in retail outlet network, the first by an Indian petroleum company, and pioneered the Kisan Seva Kendra (KSKs) to ensure smooth supply of vital petroleum products to rural markets.
To augment LPG and SERVO lubricant’s reach to rural hinterlands, the Corporation also commissioned Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak distributorships and Gramin SERVO stockists on a rapid pace. Today, IndianOil has over 37,000 customer touch points that are serving a billion Indians across the country.
The Corporation’s latest financial results also vindicate its leadership position with its top line recording Rs4,09,957 crore, the highest by an Indian corporate thus far.
