Partha S Bhattacharyya, Chairman of public sector coal mining behemoth Coal India, has been recently awarded with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) President’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to CII for 2009-10.

The award was presented by Nandan Nilekeni, Chairman UIDAI Government of India at a function in New Delhi.

The award was also in recognition of his active participation in CII-PSU Apex Council on Public Sector Enterprises for taking CII’s activities forward. Bhattacharyya was Chairman of CII’s sub-committee for HR Strategies on Public Sectors. He is now nominated as Chairman Sub-committee on Sustainable Development.
