ONGC CMD RS Sharma, who is also Chairman, CII Apex Council of Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), was felicitated by CII in New Delhi.
Sharma was recognised for his ‘outstanding contribution’ to the cause of PSEs. Despite his commitments to the largest PSE of India, he has always been keen to address issues related to the Indian industry especially the Public Sector.
CII Apex Council for Public Sector Enterprises is one of those 25 councils, which addresses various issues related to the Public Sector Enterprises of India. CMD RS Sharma has been chairing this council since February, 2008. This Apex Council on PSEs has four Sub-Committees to address issues like HR-Strategy in PSEs, image make-over of PSEs, Public-Private-Partnership and Sustainable Development, which are also headed by CMDs of four other PSEs.
RS Sharma received the trophy from Nilekani in the presence of Venu Srinivasan, Past-President, CII; Hari Bhartia, new President, CII; Chandrajit Banerjee, DG, CII, and other eminent personalities of Indian industry.
