Beni Prasad Verma assumes charge of ministry of steel
Beni Prasad Verma has assumed the charge of ministry of steel as minister of state (Independent Charge). This follows the induction of Verma in the union council of ministers.
Verma after assuming charge as minister told reporters that “I will try my best to increase the production and fulfill demands of the steel industry. If there is no income, how can we ensure development for the country?”
Vowing to review the issues in an effort to push these forward, he said the country needed to encourage such huge projects, due to their capacity to generate large -scale income and employment.
A veteran politician from Uttar Pradesh, Verma said his priority would also be to ensure more steel projects came up in that state.
“I want to ensure justice to Uttar Pradesh, since it is the largest state in the country. UP is my priority.”
