Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), a joint venture of GAIL (India) Ltd, BPCL and Delhi government, recently announced that BC Tripathi has taken over as chairman of the company. Tripathi, who is Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, has taken over from S Radhakrishnan, Director (Marketing), BPCL, who relinquished the charge upon completion of his two-year tenure, but continues as Director on the Board of IGL, the company said in a statement.

IGL is the sole supplier of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.

Tripathi is also the Chairman of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Ltd and GAIL Gas Ltd. In addition, he is a Director on the Board of Petronet LNG Ltd.
He has over 29 years of experience in the domain of project planning, management & execution, Operations & Maintenance and marketing in hydrocarbon sector.
