ONGC is in the process of setting up a power plant of 750 MW utilising the gas reserves at Tripura. The first phase of the project has been commissioned.

Mrs. Panabaka showered praise on ONGC’s performance and whole-heartedly lauded sustained efforts of committed ONGCians towards securing the energy requirements of the country. The Minister said “The huge potential this company has needs to be nurtured and the constraints being faced by this exemplary company need to be addressed collectively by all the stakeholders. With regards to energy in the Indian context, ONGC is the most important corporate that can secure this for the country.”
